Another road reconstruction project approved for Harriston

Minto has been successfull in getting a $1.3-million provincial grant to help pay for a rebuild of Arthur Street East in Harriston, from the traffic lights almost to the public school.

Minto will have to pay for water and sewers as well as 10 percent of the road rebuild.

Minto’s share will amount to about $320,000.

The project is expected to go ahead next spring, with most of the heavy work being carried out after school closes in June.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
