Labour Council rally in Owen Sound next week

Members of the Grey Bruce Labour Council are planning a rally in Owen Sound next week.

It's to keep the pressure on the Doug Ford government, which is not scheduled to return to the Ontario Legislature until late October.

Labour Councils around the province want to make sure that Conservative MPP’s know that - even though it's summer - the councils and coalitions of concerned citizens are still active.

The rally is planned in front of MPP Bill Walker’s Owen Sound office on Tuesday, August 13th, starting at 4:00 p.m.     All union affiliates and concerned citizens are invited to attend.

Labour Council President Kevin Smith stated, "having a five-month break from the Ford government is not all bad, at least the harm they can do is limited, although we know when they return they will be in full scale attack mode again".
