OPP investigating Saugeen First Nation death

Grey Bruce OPP are investigating the death of a Saugeen First Nation woman.

On Saturday at 4:15 a.m., Grey Bruce OPP and Bruce County Paramedic Services were called to a residence at French Bay Road, Saugeen First Nation for a 24-year-old woman without vital signs.

Police say the woman had experienced an apparent opioid overdose and was administered Naloxone prior to the arrival of emergency responders.

She was rushed to hospital where she was pronounced deceased.

No name has been released, and the incident is still being investigated.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
