Family picnic being held in Central Huron

The municipality of Central Huron is hosting it's second annual family picnic on Monday at the Sloman School on Wheels Park.

Community Improvement Coordinator, Angela Smith says they had a great turnout for the first picnic last year.

She says there'll live music provided by the Thursday's Tunes musicians and much more.

“There will be some live music and for anyone bringing children, there's playgrounds that they will play. It's really just an old-fashion picnic, people get together and visit their neighbours and enjoy the park. Bring you picnic lunch and your blanket, lawn chair, or we will have some picnic tables there.”

Smith adds there is no charge, people should remember to bring their picnic lunch, a blanket and a lawn chair or there will be some picnic tables there as well.

The picnic starts at noon and in the event of rain, Smith says the picnic will be moved to the third floor auditorium in the town hall.
