15 midwestern Ontario communities on 2019 'Best Communities to Live' list

Macleans Magazine's list of the best communities to live in in 2019 includes over a dozen Midwestern Ontario locations.

The list ranks items such as affordability, economy, taxes, weather and health.    Other items ranked include crime culture and amenities.

Collingwood comes in at number 22.   The next top local community on the list is Wellington North at number 151, and then Hanover at 153.

The next best local communities on the list are Mapleton at number 237,  Saugeen Shores at 242,  South Huron 259,  and Stratford at 285.

Burlington, Grimsby and Ottawa are the top three.

Georgian Bluffs is at number 336, Kincardine places 338, West Grey is at 351, North Perth ranks 354, Meaford at 356, Grey Highlands placed at 359, Perth East at 372 and Owen Sound is number 379.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
