Conners earns berth into PGA Tour Championship

Listowel's Corey Conners impressive finish at the BMW Championship earned him a berth to the Tour Championship and guarantees him a spot in all four of PGA's major tournaments next season.

Conners ended the BMW Championship at 15-under 273 and tied for seventh. He was consistent throughout, shooting a 69 in his first, third and fourth rounds. His second round was his best, shooting a 6-under 66.

Conners was the low Canadian at the event and is now 23rd in the FedEx Cup rankings. He was the only Canadian to advance to the Tour Championship.

American Justin Thomas won with a 25-under 263.

Fellow Canadian Adam Hadwin finished tied for 43rd at 60under 282. He struggled in the final round, shooting a 4-over 76.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
