Man seriously hurt in Point Clark golf cart incident

A man suffered life-threatening injuries in an incident involving a golf cart in Point Clark.

South Bruce OPP and paramedics responded Monday to a report of a person who sustained serious injuries after falling from the back of a moving golf cart on Victoria Road.

Police say the man had been sitting on the back of the golf cart, when he stood up and stepped off the cart while it was still in motion, causing him to fall and strike his head.

The victim was transported to the hospital in Kincardine for initial treatment and then transferred to London for further medical treatment.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
