OPP seek witnesses to crash near Staffa

Perth County OPP officers are looking for witnesses after a serious crash south of Staffa in West Perth.

On Sunday at around 7:30 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Huron and Perth County detachments, Huron County Emergency Services (EMS) as well as South Huron and West Perth Fire Departments responded to the scene of a collision involving two motor vehicles. The collision occurred at the intersection of Perth Road 180/Hern Line and Line 17, south of Staffa in the Municipality of West Perth.

A sedan travelling east on Line 17 collided with a sedan travelling north on Road 180.

Traffic on Line 17 is regulated by a stop sign. Road 180 has the right of way.

Four occupants of the eastbound sedan were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

One occupant from the northbound sedan was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries and was later transferred to London by air ambulance.

The investigation continues with the support of the OPP Traffic Collision Investigators (TCI).

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
