Midwestern Ontario continues to wait for first cannabis retailer

Midwestern Ontario has been shut out of the latest provincial cannabis lottery once again.

There are currently no approved applications or stores in Huron, Perth, Bruce, Grey counties, or Northern Wellington County, however, a lot of interest was shown during the recent lottery round.

Residents from the city of Owen Sound submitted eight applications, Stratford had a total of 10, while Kincardine, Durham & Walkerton all had one application apiece.

The closest cannabis retailers to most Midwestern Ontario residents are located in London, with one application also being accepted in the 2nd lottery in Collingwood.
