Mischief in Arthur earns 18-year-old court date

Some late-night mischief in the town of Arthur has earned an 18-year-old a court date.

Wellington County OPP said they responded to a 911 call in the area of George Street in Arthur around 2 a.m. on Sunday, August 25.

They found several bags of soil dumped out on a sidewalk, a garbage can knocked over, flower pots in the street, as well as a smashed window at a store.

Officers eventually located a suspect and placed him under arrest.

The 18-year-old Wellington North man is charged with mischief under $5,000.

He has a court date set for September 24 in Guelph.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
