Public meeting next week for Saugeen Shores Waterfront Revitalization Project

A date has been set for a public meeting on the Waterfront Revitalization Project in Saugeen Shores.

The meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 3, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at The Plex in Port Elgin.

Members of the public are invited to hear an update on the waterfront project from town staff and businessman Pier Donnini, as well as share their comments.  And because of the number of people expected, speakers will be limited to three minutes.

The Waterfront Project meeting follows a public survey regarding waterfront revitalization. Over 1500 responses were received from the community, and results will be presented as part of the public meeting on September 3.

"Public interest continues to be very high on this initiative," stated Mayor Luke Charbonneau. "Council is looking forward to hearing further details from Mr. Donnini and comments from citizens."
