UPDATED: Huron East man arrested after accident near Dorking

A man from Huron East is facing several charges after allegedly fleeing the scene of an accident on foot.

On Friday, officers say they responded to a collision involving two vehicles north of the small town of Dorking.

A car travelling on Line 86 crossed the center line and entered the eastbound lane. A truck hauling a camper trailer had to take evasive action to avoid a head on collision. The car struck the camper trailer.

According to a release, the driver of that car fled the collision on foot.

A short time later, police say they were contacted by a concerned citizen after a male matching the description was dropped off in Milverton and looking for a ride.

According to a release, a 33-year-old man of Huron East faces several charges, including possession of an identity document belonging to another person and failing to comply with a probation order.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
