UPDATE: Wiarton man charged following crash

A Wiarton man is facing charges after a two-vehicle crash in Owen Sound.

The Owen Sound Police Service said on Friday afternoon, a vehicle travelling north through the intersection of 10th Street and 8th Street was struck by another vehicle that failed to stop for a red light.

The driver in the first vehicle, a 54-year-old Owen Sound woman, suffered minor injuries in the crash but ver vehicle was heavily damaged.

The other driver, a 27-year-old Wiarton man, was allegedly driving with a suspended licence as a result of unpaid fines. He has since been charged with driving while under suspension, failing to stop for a red light and having expired validation.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
