Still time for North Huron businesses to qualify for facade improvement grants

North Huron downtown businesses looking to make facade improvements have until the end of the month to apply for grant funding from the township.

Huron County Planner Laura Simpson said businesses can qualify for up to $10,000 or 50 per cent of the cost of their improvements. Those improvements could include things like new lighting, signs, windows, or masonry work.

The money is part of a $42,000 provincial grant. Those dollars must be allocated by March 2020.

Applications for the grant program can be found on the North Huron website.
