Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound all candidates meeting on Tuesday will focus on climate change

The first local all-candidates meeting for the federal riding of Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound will take place on Tuesday.

The meeting at the Harmony Centre in Owen Sound will include a discussion regarding climate change, being hosted by the "Green New Deal town hall group".

Conservative candidate Alex Ruff, Liberal candidate Michael Den Tandt, NDP candidate Chris Stephen, Green Party candidate Danielle Valiquette and People's Party of Canada candidate Bill Townsend have all committed to attend the meeting.

Each candidate will be allowed to give a synopsis of their party's plans on the issue of climate change, followed by a public question and answer period.

Doors open on Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m., with the meeting running from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
