Fire crews attended the scene at 226 Industrial Dr. just after 5 p.m. on Monday, and say garbage had caught fire inside the building, leading to heavy smoke by the time crews arrived.
No injuries have been reported and officials say the building is structurally sound.
Workers are expected to be back to full capacity by the end of the day on Tuesday.
People in southern Huron and Lambton counties are being told to limit their time outside.
