MPP Pettapiece announces funding for bridge east of Arthur

The Ontario Government is investing over $4.1 million in Wellington County.

This funding will be used for the rehabilitation of the Conestoga River Bridge, just east of Arthur on Wellington Road 109. The total cost of the project is $5 million, with the County providing the remaining $833,500.

Perth-Wellington MPP Randy Pettapiece made the announcement Tuesday.

"This investment will ensure our businesses can get their goods to domestic and international markets, in turn, growing the local economy and creating good jobs here in Wellington County," stated Pettapiece.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
