Woman charged with Impaired while infant daughter was a passenger

An Ayton woman has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle while her one year old daughter was a passenger.

On Friday just after 3:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to a single vehicle accident at Grey Road 3 near the Bentinck-Sullivan Townline in Chatsworth.

The driver and her infant daughter were transported to hospital by Bruce County paramedics.

OPP officers attended the hospital, and after determining there were no injuries, the driver was read a breath demand for a roadside screening device, which registered as a fail.

A 25-year-old woman from Ayton is facing several charges, including operation of a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol.

The accused has a court date in Owen Sound on October 10th.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
