96 businesses nominated for excellence in North Perth

The North Perth Business Excellence Awards Banquet isn't until October, but already there is a buzz.

Sharon D'Arcey of the Chamber of Commerce says they had an outstanding number of nominations through the month of August.

"The process was just so exciting because we got 96 nominations this year," said D'Arcey.

D'Arcey said the messages they received showed a good awareness of local business in North Perth.

"Hopefully years of making the move to shop local, it's been heard and is happening," added D'Arcey.

The next step is for the nominees to fill out a questionnaire.

"The questionnaire goes into the judges and then the judges respond," said D'Arcey. "And we set the categories to whom actually has taken it to the next stage."

The North Perth Business Excellence Awards will be held Wednesday, October 23.
