Thieves hit pig farm operation near Exeter

Huron County Ontario Provincial Police officers are seeking tips from the public to help solve a break, enter and theft that occurred at a pig farm operation north of Exeter.

Sometime between 1:30 a.m. and 6:40 a.m. on Monday, thieves attended the pig farm operation located on Airport Line and forced entry into an office through an exterior window. Once inside the office those responsible rummaged through the space and stole several items.

Some of the stolen items included a feed timer, a pressure washer, a red Lincoln arc welder and various other power tools. In addition, the thieves stole a white, two-door, 2000 GMC Sierra pickup truck. A value for the stolen property has not yet been determined.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
