Mount Forest woman dies after collision with tractor

A collision earlier this month involving two vehicles and a farm tractor has resulted in the death of a Mount Forest woman.

On September 5, 2019, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a three-vehicle collision on Wellington Road 8 near Side Road 12.

Investigation revealed that a northbound tractor slowed to make a left-hand turn onto Side Road 12. Police said it was rear-ended by a northbound sport utility vehicle. The SUV was rear-ended by a northbound sedan.

One of the drivers, 66 years old Karen Keir of Mount Forest was transported to a local hospital and later transferred to a trauma centre where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
