Wellington OPP investigate thefts from car wash coin dispensers

Wellington County OPP officers are looking for a motorcycle operator who may be involved into two separate thefts from car wash coin dispenser machines.

On September 19, 2019, the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a theft at a car wash located on Main Street in Palmerston.

Investigation revealed that sometime overnight an unknown individual on a motorcycle attended the car wash and cut into the coin dispenser machine and stole approximately $500 in cash.

A similar incident occurred at the car wash located on Mill Street in Clifford.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
