Another arrest in North Perth-Minto meth bust last month

A woman from North York faces drug-trafficking charges, stemming from a large seizure of methamphetamine last month in the Township of Minto and North Perth.

On August 28th, OPP officers seized methamphetamine from a vehicle in Minto. Offence-related property, cash, and the vehicle were also seized. 33-year-old Aaron Walsh of North Perth was arrested and charged with possession for the purposes of trafficking.

One day later, OPP officers executed search warrants at residences in North Perth and Minto Township.

Large quantities of methamphetamine and psilocybin were seized.  The estimated value of the seized substances was $218,000, while the estimated value of the seized offence related property was $49,000.

Late last week, a team of OPP officers from Huron-Perth and Grey-Bruce made an arrest in the Toronto area.  32-year-old Melissa Luu-Tran of North York was charged with trafficking methamphetamine. Further offence-related property was seized, with an estimated value of $71,000.

The police investigation is ongoing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
