Nominations open for Huron Manufacturing Awards of Excellence

The Huron Manufacturing Association is looking for nominations for this year's Awards of Excellence Gala.

Association Chair Larry Livingston said they'll be recognizing excellence in eight categories

“Employer of the Year, Innovative Product Award, Exporting Award, Green Leader Award, Youth Integration and Junior Manufacturing Award. Two more, the Outstanding Associate Member Award, that goes to anybody that supports industry and manufacturing and then the Manufacturer of the Year," he said.

Livingston said the gala will take place on November 21 at the Brussels Four Winds Wedding and Event Barn and more information about the event and how to nominate someone can be found on the Huron Manufacturing website.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
