New Port Elgin Millionaire

A Port Elgin woman is a millionaire after winning the Guaranteed $1 Million Prize in the September 21, 2019, LOTTO 6/49 draw.

Patricia Hyde says she is ecstatic and says she can finally sleep after picking up her winnings at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.

The retired 63-year old checked her ticket on OLG.ca to discover she was a big winner.

The mother of two and grandmother of three plans on using her windfall to help her family and to do some travelling.

The winning ticket was purchased at The Bare Necessities on Patrick Street in Fordwich.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
