OPP lay charges following assault in Mount Forest

Wellington County OPP have laid charges after an assault in Mount Forest.

Police responded to a report of an assault on Elgin Street in Mount Forest on September 28th. Police were told the victim fell 10 feet after the ladder they were on was forced to the ground. The victim was then reportedly struck multiple times by a metal bar. The assailant was concealing their identity, but witnesses identified the vehicle they fled in. The victim was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Police were able to locate the vehicle and arrest the assailant. As a result, 49-year-old Bradley H. Lacombe has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Disguise with Intent to commit an Indictable Offence and Possession of a Weapon contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused was held for bail. Anyone with more information on the incident is encouraged to contact Wellington County OPP or Crime Stoppers.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
