A handful of homes in Saugeen Shores had to be temporarily evacuated this morning due to a ruptured gas line.
Saugeen Shores police said the incident occurred along Elgin Street in Port Elgin, noting construction crews were working in the area and hit a gas line.
Union Gas was quickly on scene and residents were able to return to their homes within the hour.
