West Grey police officer threatened with a weapon

West Grey police have charged a Durham man after the passenger of a vehicle threatened an officer with a weapon.

Police pulled over a vehicle on George Street West in Durham on Friday at about 1:15 p.m. A passenger became irate, grabbed a weapon, and made threats.

Police able to arrest the individual without injuries

A 47-year-old Durham man was arrested and charged with one count of assault with a weapon and one count of uttering threats.

The accused was later released with conditions and a promise to appear at the Walkerton Courthouse on November 6 to answer to the charges.
