Power outages scattered across the region

Hydro One crews are busy this morning.

Scattered power outages are being reported with one of the largest in the Listowel area with 3,200 customers affected as of 7:30 a.m. Friday. Other outages are scattered across Huron, Perth, Bruce, Grey and Wellington.

A power outage on the Bruce Peninsula forced the closure of St. Edmunds school in Tobermory.

Restoration times also vary, some as late as 4 p.m. today.

High winds and heavy wet snow suspected to be the cause.

Power outages are also prominent in other parts of the province moving east into Central Ontario and along the Lake Erie and Lake Ontario shorelines into the Niagara region and further east past Toronto.
