Young people arrested inside former high school in Hanover

Four young people have been arrested at the former John Diefenbaker Secondary School building in Hanover.

According to a release, Hanover Police officers were conducting overnight property checks on Friday evening when they discovered people in the former high school.

A chase ensued through the halls before the suspects were cornered by police in the school's mechanical room and arrested.

The group faces a variety of charges, including break-and-enter and theft under $5,000.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
