Huron County woman facing animal cruelty charges

A Huron County woman is facing animal cruelty charges.

The Humane Society of Kitchener, Waterloo and Stratford Perth investigated a complaint about the health and living conditions of a female dog and puppies. In a release, the Humane Society said animal protection officers went to the home on August 29 and found the dogs in poor living conditions.

The owner was ordered to improve the dogs' living conditions and she complied.

She has been charged with permitting an animal to be in distress, failing to provide animals with adequate and appropriate sanitary conditions and failing to provide care to animals necessary for their general welfare.

She is due in court on November 19.
