Perth East Focus group tonight for county transportation project

Perth East hopes to gather input into the Community Transportation Project in Perth County with a focus group.

The public is invited to attend the Township Municipal Office in Milverton on Wednesday to participate.

Residents and business people will gather from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. to comment on the intercommunity transportation pilot project, that will provide bus access from Stratford, Listowel, and St. Marys to intermodal transportation hubs in Kitchener and London.

It will also connect the communities of Atwood, Brunner, Gads Hill, Listowel, Millbank, Milverton, Mitchell, Monkton, Newton, Sebringville, St. Marys, and Stratford

The City of Stratford and the County of Perth have each been awarded a Community Transportation Grant. The service is expected to begin in the spring of 2020

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
