West Grey property hit by thieves

A barking dog wasn't enough to deter a thief or thieves who hit a residential property in West Grey.

Police report that the homeowner along Concession 8 got up to let out his barking dog around 1 a.m. on Tuesday when he noticed that the main door to his garage was open.

He soon discovered that his ATV, a generator, six tires and other tools were missing. He then noticed that his drive shed had been entered, and a utility trailer, as well as the snowblower attachment for his riding lawn mower, were gone.

The victim further advised police that a large sum of cash was stolen along with passports, a health card, and SIN cards.

This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is being asked to call the West Grey Police Service.
