Police look for help in solving a hit-and-run in Meaford

Provincial police are looking for the public's help to find a driver involved in a hit-and-run with a pedestrian in Meaford.

Police say it happened back on October 6 during the Scarecrow Parade at St. Vincent Street and Bridge Street.

The pedestrian suffered a knee injury and will need surgery.

The vehicle is described as a 2005, silver Chevy Malibu. The driver is a young white man, late 20s or early 30s with broad shoulders, shaggy brown hair and green eyes. He was wearing a grey shirt at the time.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
