New streetlights for downtown Owen Sound

The City of Owen Sound is installing new concrete decorative streetlight poles and LED pole top streetlights on 2nd Avenue East near Highway 6.

The existing steel decorative streetlight poles and metal halide streetlights have reached the end of their useful life.

The work will be taking place over the next few weeks.

There will be minimal disruption to traffic but there will be periodic interruptions in parking spaces that will be occupied in order to complete the work.

Most of the work will take place during the day with some work in the vicinity of the mid-block crossing taking place at night.
