First case of flu in Grey-Bruce

The Grey Bruce Health Unit got confirmation of its first case of influenza of the season.

The health unit said on Thursday that a Meaford resident tested positive for Influenza B.

Starting next week, the health unit will begin posting its local influenza bulletin on its website. That will include the last week's flu activity and the current season's trends, specifically in Grey and Bruce.

The health unit reminds everyone that your best defence against the flu is the flu shot. You can get those from your health care provider and most pharmacies.
