Energy audits expected to save money for Upper Grand Schools

The Upper Grand District School Board's Energy Management Team is working to reduce energy and water use in the board. This week, staff from the UGDSB’s Energy Management Team presented their Action Plan to promote the efficient use of energy and maximize dollars available to classrooms. They conducted energy audits of several schools to assess energy use and implement corrective measures, Those include LED lighting projects and high-efficiency boiler upgrades, installing water monitoring devices in schools, and piloting an electrical demand reduction program at three schools. It's part of an effort to demonstrate leadership in the area of environmental stewardship and reduce the board’s carbon footprint.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
