OPP cruiser. File photo by Blackburn News.Wellington County OPP officers have arrested a suspect in relation to an armed robbery at a business on Main Street in Arthur at 10:53 a.m. on Monday.
The OPP said a firearm was observed during the hold up at Sussman's of Arthur. Local schools were briefly put on lockdown as a precaution, but the lockdowns were quickly lifted.
An 18-year-old Wellington North man turned himself in at the OPP Teviotdale Detachment at 1:05 p.m. and is now facing numerous charges.
An investigation is ongoing.
As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.
