Police charge man after conducting voyeurism investigation

Owen Sound police have charged a 56-year-old man after concluding a voyeurism investigation.

Owen Sound police detectives executed a search warrant that uncovered a hidden camera that had been installed in an imitation heating vent in the washroom of a neighbouring apartment.

The accused allegedly captured images and viewed them on a monitor over several months. The accused did maintenance in the building and allegedly installed the camera in anticipation of the victim moving into the apartment in early 2019.

As a result, the accused is charged with voyeurism and mischief. He has a court date set for January 2020.
