Six arrested in Hanover drug investigation

Six Grey County residents are facing drug possession charges following the execution of a search warrant this week in Hanover.

Members of the OPP Community Street Crimes Unit, Hanover Police Service, West Grey Police Service, and South Bruce OPP converged on a property along 12th Street.

Officers seized methamphetamine and fentanyl, along with a high capacity magazine for a firearm, digital scales, and brass knuckles.

Six arrests were made. Four were from Hanover, including two women, aged 30 and 40, and two men, aged 27 and 19. A 29-year-old woman from West Grey and a 37-year-old man from Grey Highlands were also taken into custody.

All six are charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of fentanyl.

Additional charges of unauthorized possession of a weapon and possession of a prohibited device were laid against two of the suspects.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
