Bruce County splits Department of Health

Bruce County has appointed a Director of Human Resources and a Director of Paramedic Services.

County Council named Susan Petrik, Deputy Treasurer as the Director of Human Resources.

Steve Schaus, Chief of Operations is the new Director of Paramedic Services.

Both were appointed to those positions in an acting capacity on September 19th of this year.

County Council dissolved the Department of Health Services and re-created the Department of Paramedic Services and the Department of Long-Term Care.

Petrik will lead the Department of Human Resources and Schaus will lead the Department of Paramedic Services.

“Bruce County Council is pleased to be able to announce these permanent appointments and is confident in the high level of expertise, understanding and dedication that both Susan and Steve will continue to bring to their new positions,” says Warden Twolan.

“Both bring a wealth of knowledge to these portfolios and I am very pleased that they have accepted the permanent positions,” adds Warden Twolan.

Primacare Living Solutions continue to manage and support Brucelea Haven and Gateway Haven with Primacare’ s Chief Operating Officer, Jill Knowlton as Acting Director of Long-Term Care.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
