Local hospital receives final funding commitment from local business

The Wingham and District Hospital Foundation received the final piece of promised funding from a local business.

Joe Kerr Limited made a pledge to donate $100,000 to the foundation's "Our Hospital, Our Future" campaign in 2015, and on Friday they donated the final $20,000.

Pledges made by many local donors and businesses have significantly impacted the Wingham and District Hospital, with renovations nearly complete in a number of different key areas.

Work is still being done on the post-anesthesia care unit, and preparations are underway to expand and improve the specialists’ clinic adjacent to the ER.
