Wellington North's proposed 2020 budget goes to the public next month

Wellington North council got its first look at the township’s 2020 budget.

The operating budget is actually going down slightly, mainly because of having paid off a lot of long term debt.

And the $19 million capital budget is directed at supporting infrastructure.

The proposed $20.6 million budget will translate into a 1.8 per cent increase for taxpayers.

Council will open up the budget process to the public for comment at it's first meeting in January.
