(Photo by OPP)Provincial police are investigating a fatal collision involving a pedestrian and a transport truck near Meaford.
Police said the pedestrian was hit on Highway 26 east of the Third Line around 1:13 p.m. on Monday. The pedestrian was rushed to hospital but despite the efforts of hospital staff, the person succumbed to their injuries.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld until family can be notified.
The collision remains under investigation.
