Two arrested after break-in at Stone Tree near Owen Sound

OPP officers followed tracks in the snow to locate suspects in a weekend break-in at the Stone Tree Golf and Country Club, south of Owen Sound.

Police responded to an alarm at the Highway 6-and-10 location around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

Officers found that an attempt had been made to enter the building and that other outbuildings had been entered.

They followed footprints in the snow to a residence in the area, and arrested two people at that home.

A 38-year-old Owen Sound man and a 21-year-old Meaford woman were remanded into custody.

The pair face charges that include Break and Enter, Mischief Under $ 5,000, Theft Under $5000, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000, Possession of Break In Instruments, and Trespassing at Night.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
