Quiet start to 2020

It's a quiet start to the new year weather wise in the area.

The weather radar shows that all of the squalls have moved out of the area and all of the warnings and watches have been dropped by Environment Canada. Roads are described as partly snow covered to track bare.

It could get a little messy over the next couple of days though with rain expected tomorrow night and into Friday then some snow returning Saturday. Temperatures will climb back to the plus side for the end of the week then drop during the weekend.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
