Loose cows lead to collisions in Georgian Bluffs

Several cows remain on the loose in the area of Benallen, Georgian Bluffs.

Grey Bruce OPP officers responded to a crash Ssunday on Grey Road 17 between Gordon Sutherland Parkway and Concession 10.   The collision involved a sport utility vehicle and three cows.

The vehicle veered off the road and struck a telephone pole, knocking wires down.   The driver did not have any injuries.

Grey Bruce OPP were called for another collision on Saturday.   That one involving a car and a cow, is the second collision between a vehicle and a cow in the same area in the span of two days.

The owner of the cows attended both of the scenes and has been working to secure his cattle.

Police believe that there are 30 to 40 cows still loose in the area.

Drivers are asked to proceed with caution in the Benallen area of Georgian Bluffs.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
