Victim of serious collision succumbs to injuries

A young woman has succumbed to her injuries after a collision in Wellington North in December.

The OPP said 18-year-old Zoey Lynn Waters of Baden died on January 5.

She was involved in a serious motor vehicle collision involving a northbound sport utility vehicle and a southbound sedan on Highway 6 north of Arthur on December 18 at around 8 a.m.

Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police officers and Emergency Services responded and both drivers were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

The investigation continues.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
