Central Huron man charged with impaired following traffic stop in Blyth

A traffic stop in Blyth has led to an impaired charge for a 19-year-old.

On Thursday, Huron County OPP stopped a pickup truck speeding in Blyth.

A traffic stop was conducted and upon speaking with the driver, the officer noted the driver had been consuming alcohol.

A roadside screening test resulted in a fail.

A 19-year-old from Central Huron was charged with operation of a vehicle while impaired, he has a court date scheduled for February 24th in Goderich, his vehicle was impounded and his license suspended for 90 days.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
