Police charge two people after recovering stolen vehicle

Two people have been charged by police after a search warrant resulted in a stolen vehicle being recovered.

South Bruce OPP officers executed a search warrant on Monday at a property along McGill Street in Ripley. Police recovered a stolen vehicle worth approximately $6,000. As a result, a 27-year-old Kincardine native and a 57-year-old native of Huron-Kinloss were arrested and charged.

Both of the accused are scheduled to appear in court to answer to a number of charges in relation to the theft.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
